Raw Bend is a type of hot bending process. In hot bending, we use moulds, which allow the glass to adopt the desired form. The glass, as well as the mould, is then heated up to 580–600 °C.Bending is solely based on gravity. The shape is then slowly cooled to avoid any residual tension in the glass.
Our Bending technology allows to create a wider range of shapes, for instance, a tighter radius and non-cylindrical shapes which is usually not possible in toughened bend glasses. The hot bending process itself does not add mechanical strength to the glass nor the ability to tolerate temperature variations.
APPLICATIONS OF SAFE RAW BEND:
- Complex bends allow it to be used in different railing sections.
- Our Bend glasses are used for various display counters. Eg- bakery, jewellery display etc
- Raw bend glasses can be laminated further for strength and rigidity.
